Job Title: Yard Staff - Full Time (Weekdays)
Location of Work: Brandy’s Cove Yachting Centre, Honey Harbour ON
Brandy's Cove is looking to expand our team. We are looking for seasonal full time yard staff. Brandy's Cove is a fast paced, full-service marina located in beautiful Honey Harbour on Georgian Bay. This position requires physical activity, positive attitude and a strong work ethic as well as working well with others, problem solving and reliability. Excellent pay wages (based on experience).
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5 pm (ASAP - November)
Wages: Starting @ $17.20/hour
Responsibilities include (but are not limited too)
- Assist yard supervisor with haul outs, blocking, etc...
- Heavy lifting (at times)
- General Labour
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Customer service
- Work effectively & cooperatively with other team members
- Ability to communicate both verbally & effectively
- Must be punctual with reliable transportation
- Willing to work outdoors and around water
Assets:
- Marine experience
- Mechanically inclined
- Pleasure craft operator card
Job Title: Marine Technician
Location of Work: Brandy’s Cove Yachting Centre, Honey Harbour ON
Brandy’s Cove is currently looking to expand our team. We are looking for a knowledgeable Marine Mechanic. Brandy’s Cove is a fast paced, full-service marina located in beautiful Honey Harbour on Georgian Bay. This position requires marine mechanical experience, positive attitude and a strong work ethic as well as working well with others, problem solving and reliability. Excellent pay wages and benefits available.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5 pm (April – November)
Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and successfully repair them
- Maintain time records on work orders
- Experience with both gas and diesel engines
- Minimum 2 years work experience on maintenance of small equipment, gasoline and diesel marine engines
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with accuracy and speed.
- Work effectively & cooperatively with fellow employees
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing about repairs
- Valid G or higher Driver’s License and vehicle
- Pleasure craft operator card
Assets
- Must have own mechanic tools & tool box
- Willing to work outdoors and around water
